Laknavaram Forest Festival organized by Telangana Tourism

November 10, 2017:

My cousins, Buddu and Eshu arrived Hyderabad in the morning from Tirupati and brother,Abhilash in the evening from Delhi to attend his friend's marriage on Sunday night. As we had two days, we planned a trip to Laknavaram and booked for a forest festival organized by Telangana Tourism one-week advance which includes Night Camping, Camp Fire,  Cycling, Jeep Safari, Boating, Trekking and Bullock Cart Riding.
Cost per person: 1200/- including food.

November 11, 2017:

All of us were thrilled as we are going to spend one complete night in a forest with the chilling weather.

We started at 8 a.m. from Hyderabad with all our baggage which includes bedspreads, woollen clothes as it is winter and a pair of shoes for trekking.

A halt for breakfast on the highway!!
Had breakfast in a dhaba on the highway and headed to Warangal. Reached by 1 p.m and went to relatives home for a hai-bye for few minutes and then started exploring Warangal fort and a park nearby. Nithin and myself are trip advisors here as we had already been once.
Here are a few glimpses of Warangal fort and the park.

Posing with my darling !!

The Naughty Gang- though few cousins are missing!!!

Brother and sister duo. I can say "Picture Perfect"

Completely settled on that Nandi!!!

A Groupie!!!

These kulfis are the energy booster to explore the park.

Some serious discussion is going on between the sisters!!! And Abhilash is busy in posing.

Park nearby Warangal Fort which is a must visit!!
After spending an hour exploring, we were exhausted as it was Sunny. So stopped at Bay Leaf restaurant for lunch. Took an hour break and then headed towards our destination.
Bayleaf- A restaurant in Warangal.
Reached Lakanavaram by 4 p.m. and it was jam-packed with tourists as it was Sunday.
We waited for our organiser for half an hour and then immediately started for first activity in the event i.e cycling in the woods.

It was thrilling, exciting and a bit dangerous too.Several strange things happened on our ride.

I have chosen a breakless cycle which I came to know only after I was cycling down the hill. I thought that could be my second accident but somehow managed to stop it. Then exchanged my cycle with Nithin and continued my ride.

Nithin was out of the ride as I sent him back to change cycle. Buddu and Abhilash were super fast contrary to Eshu and me. To pace with us they waited until we reach them. My darling Eshu as expected couldn't ride and after riding half the distance, she almost fainted. So we gave a break to our cycling adventure. Our brothers started motivating her by yelling " Bahubali" though she thought they were teasing which added fuel to the fire.

So as always, it’s my turn to make my loving sister relax.

Trying to chill her with a selfie!!!
In the mean time, the brothers duo reached endpoint and returned back to us.

Mission accomplished!!!

At the endpoint of the track!!

And this girl was forcing me to complete the ride as if I'm going to miss " Student of the Year " title. We all took rest for some time and slowly we went back to our tents place with the help of the supporting person from forest authority.
Nithin almost lost the track and so he came back to our tents place by car.
Selected our tents to spend our adventorous night in the forest and to our surprise no other members joined the festival.  After an hour, a very large family joined us along with  2 unexpected guests who came by mistake.
Forest Camping!!!

The Camp Fire!!!

They served food at 9 p.m. which appeared damn tasty for our hungry tummies. Till midnight we stayed in same tent with crazy discussions. Later, we sat near campfire as it was wintry and then got to bed.
Our organizers had arranged separate dressing rooms for next day morning at 5 a.m. for ladies though Eshu and myself are not interested in it. So we woke up late and went to Haritha resort for a fresh up.

To our luck, we have to cross this beautiful suspension bridge to reach the resort which we missed last night as it was so crowded.

Laknavaram Bridge!!!

View of Haritha Resort from the bridge!!

Beautiful Sunrise!!

Then we came back to our tents and started cycling to complete the incomplete task.

The view at the end point of the cycling track was just spectacular with full of greenery and a check-dam.

Hyperactive me!!!

Somehow forced him to join me!!  My best companion in crime. Wink !!

These fellows are lazy to step into the water!!!

After spending an hour we were back to our camping location and had breakfast followed by a bullock cart ride.

The breakfast was so delicious!!
Next activities in the event were boating followed by trekking. We skipped trekking part as we were tired and out of time, as Abhilash has to attend a wedding and Buddu and Eshu, has to leave for Tirupati.

Eshu was super excited to take a photo as she was worried that we may miss boating due to time constraint!!! See her 1000 watts smile!!!

This ends our first forest camping experience with strange memories and candid photographs.

Gonna say bye for now but will be meeting you soon with an amazing and thrilling writeup.

Sayonara!!!!!
