Trip to Pulicat lake

Wanna see both lake and beach at one place, then visit Pulicat lake.

It was in mid May of 2014. We had no clue about Pulicat lake but planned to visit as it is the only place near by Chennai.Tried to recollect about Pulicat lake which we studied in social but no use. Started googling it and found that it is the second largest lake and it is the place where we can see the meeting point of Pulicat lake and Bay of Bengal and we can see a lot of migratory birds during October and November. Many suggested its waste going there in May and the boating is also banned like that.
We started to Pulicat like come what may. But our unplanned journey wasn't disappointing. We started our trip by exploring the beautiful lotuses on the way to Pulicat from Chennai. I even had an adventure at this spot. I was roaming everywhere to collect as many lotuses as I can but didn't notice that I was followed by an ox. I  screamed in the beginning but found none can help as all are very far. At that moment I thought of Rajanikanth in the film Narasimha and went to hold ox's horns and finally he got scared and left. Though its filmy but it is true.

Reached Pulicat at around 9 and had breakfast in a nearby local hotel.
Then booked a private boat to explore the exiting sand dunes of the lake and beach. The boat journey was amazing though we had a Sun bath all day as it is Mid May.
Here are the glimpses of our Pulicat boat journey.

How's my new look?!!!

Traveling with the loved ones, chitchatting throughout the boat trip doing crazy things, immersing in the Sea water and taking some candid photographs made the trip memorable. With good company, it is a worthwhile place to visit.
